What is OMLU?
OMLU is restaurant software that brings QR ordering, kitchen display, staff operations and billing into one connected system. It is currently focused on restaurants in India.
How does QR ordering work?
A restaurant places an OMLU QR code at each table. Customers scan it, view the restaurant menu in their browser and place an order. The order then enters the restaurant’s staff and kitchen workflow.
Do customers need to install an app?
No. Customers use the table QR code to open the menu and ordering experience in their phone’s web browser, so they do not need to install an app.
Does OMLU require special hardware?
OMLU does not require proprietary ordering hardware. Its web interfaces work on ordinary modern phones, tablets and computers. A restaurant can choose equipment that suits its counter, staff and kitchen setup.
Can the kitchen display work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The OMLU kitchen display is responsive and can be used on supported phones, tablets and computers with a modern browser. It keeps fallback reconciliation in place when realtime connectivity is interrupted.
Does OMLU support restaurant billing?
Yes. OMLU supports restaurant billing workflows, bill issuance, GST details where applicable, receipts and recording supported payment methods. OMLU does not currently present an online payment gateway as part of this public offering.
Can restaurant staff use OMLU on their phones?
Yes. Staff workflows are designed for responsive web use, and the OMLU Operations app supports restaurant operations on compatible Android devices. Access remains controlled by each staff member’s assigned role.
Is OMLU suitable for small cafés and restaurants?
Yes. Small cafés and restaurants can use OMLU for table ordering, kitchen activity, staff work and billing with devices they already have, without needing a complex proprietary hardware setup.
Can larger restaurants use OMLU?
OMLU supports structured table operations, role-based staff access, kitchen workflows, service requests and billing within a restaurant. It does not claim multi-branch management on this page.
Who built OMLU?
OMLU is built by Nadha Labs, an Indian technology company founded by Kailasanadh G in 2025.
How can I start using OMLU?
Restaurant owners can use the Create Restaurant registration flow to set up an OMLU account. After registration, the owner can complete restaurant setup and add staff or kitchen users.
